Sharon Hoge and Amy Moser

Hi, my name is not “Jinx”, but Chris. I love to sing and to teach others to sing. I get to work with the nicest, most talented people in Blackfoot. I’m of course referring to Blackfoot Community Players and all my AWESOME high school students! I’m grateful for all the opportunities to work and perform with these folks! Sorry ladies, I’ve been happily married for 10 years to my beautiful wife, Melanie, and we have four kids who will all be superstars like their father one day!

Russ Wood grew up in Pocatello in a family that was always singing. His Grandpa Yowell started the Pocatello chapter of barbershop singers and his mother sang with her sisters so it was inevitable that Russ would become a singer too. Outside of the shower, he has sung with a professional barbershop quartet, Soundscape, for over a decade. This is his fourth time being a “Plaid.” He started out playing Jinx, but hit puberty and moved on to play “Frankie” the following three times. Russ is a Trainer for INL. He is happily married to the best person in the whole universe, Brenda (Wray) Wood of Moreland, and is responsible for filling the demanding bellies of his kids Grant (18), Gabriel (16), Serena (14), Seth (11), and Estella (4). Needless to say, they sing too!

Bryce Moser, whose real name is Francis, is also the only left-handed member of the cast. His favorite roles have been “Narrator” in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, “Daddy Warbucks” in Annie, and “Buffalo Bill” in Annie Get Your Gun. Bryce has been practicing medicine in Blackfoot for the past 17 years and recently opened his own clinic, Peak Family Medicine.  He is in love with the cute director of this show, and is father to three great kids and two others. He counts one of his greatest treasures being able to sing with this great cast again.

Bart Brown has a hard time saying no, but was very happy to join together with the “Plaids” again for this Christmas extravaganza! In his spare time, he is involved with the community as a Blackfoot City Council member, an employee with D.L. Evans bank, church service, and as a Dad to 5 wonderful children and their spouses and all their activities. “Thanks to my wonderful wife, Dana, for supporting my crazy schedule and being my rock. Best holiday wishes to you and yours!”

Samantha has taught private piano lessons for 15 years and has accompanied for university music majors for many years. She also won a national award for an original composition in 2005. She also teaches private voice lessons. Sami graduated from ISU in 2011 with a bachelors in vocal performance. She has competed in the regional Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions twice where she won an encouragement award. She has presented an Alumni Scholarship Recital for the Department of Music at ISU. She performed the role of Adelle from Die Fledermaus in the Opera Apprentice Program for the Astoria Music Festival. She has won awards in the Virginia and Idaho NATS collegiate competitions. She has also performed as soprano soloist in Carmina Burana in the Forbidden City concert hall in China and in John Rutter’s Mass of the Children under the direction of John Rutter. She loves being in Blackfoot with her husband, Kyle, and 4 young children.

Benji began playing the upright bass 9 years ago in orchestra but soon found a love for Jazz.  He has played in multiple jazz and rock bands over the years. Since returning a year ago from a mission in the Newport Beach Mission, he has commenced his studies in neuroscience at BYU-Idaho. He has joined up with Forever Plaid once again for a community Christmas treat. Benji is the son of Ben and Chris Pack and this Christmas, you’ll find him waiting under the mistletoe. Meanwhile, enjoy the show!

Fresh off the boat from New Jersey, Jon is making his community theatre debut. Typically playing in cover bands all over Time Square, Jon is excited to play with such talented Idahoans. When he is not on stage, Jon can be found hiking and exploring the local terrain.
